R8 Mark II Sport Mechanically Performing Belt Buckle – 30mm. Code name: MCQUEEN
The R8 MKII SPORT mechanical belt buckle is an evolution of the original HE 8 / R8 MK I series created by Roland Iten in 2003 and is the active sports model of the collection series.
The unique feature of the R8 MK II SPORT is the double ardillon tang incorporated into a sporty three-prong expansion lever which grips the leather strap more securely, safeguards its longevity and affords a smoother expansion and contraction. Issued with a natural steel finish or a black PVD finish, the R8 MK II SPORT incorporates a stainless steel and titanium expansion lever which provides easy access for expanding and contracting the buckle and is more lightweight and suitable for performance-oriented and active sports.
Hand-finished by master craftsmen, two diamonds are discretely embedded in the solid rose gold crowns as reflective indicators of the one-handed expansion manouevre, with one additional diamond set into the solid gold ring on the double ardillon tang.
The R8 MK II collection series are 100% engineered and manufactured in Geneva, Switzerland with a specialised five axel construction and comprised from over 110 moveable roller bearings, plates and levers contributing to the impeccable performance of this extraordinary mechanical belt buckle.
The R8 MKII SPORT series is issued in limited and numbered editions in STEEL AND TITANIUM architecture w/ rose gold.
